Code of Conduct

At Forest City Athletics, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants.

 

By attending our events, you agree to uphold the following Code of Conduct.

​

1. Respect for Others

​

  • Treat all players, referees, staff, and spectators with respect.

​

  • Use sportsmanlike behavior at all times—win or lose.

​

  • Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or aggressive language or actions.

​

  • Respect others’ physical and personal space.

​

Zero Tolerance for:

​

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation (verbal, physical, or online).

​

  • Threats, violence, or unsafe actions—these may result in immediate bans.

​

  • Hate speech, discrimination, or offensive gestures.

​

2. Fair Play & Sportsmanship

​

  • Play by the rules and encourage fair competition.

​

  • Accept referee and staff decisions as final—no arguing or unsportsmanlike conduct.

​

  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all skill levels.

​

  • Shake hands (or acknowledge) opponents and teammates after games.

​

3. Safety & Equipment Use

​

  • Wear appropriate sports attire and footwear.

​

  • Follow all venue and event rules for safe play.

​

  • Use equipment responsibly—intentional damage or misuse is not allowed.

​

  • Report unsafe conditions, injuries, or misconduct to staff immediately.

​

Prohibited:

​

  • Reckless play or actions that put others at risk.

​

  • Playing while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

​

  • Bringing unauthorized alcohol or drugs to any event—violations may lead to immediate removal or bans.

​

  • Smoking, vaping, or using any tobacco or cannabis products inside any venue where our events are held. Violations may result in removal from the event.

​

  • Only water in a sealed bottle is permitted on the event floor. No food or other beverages are allowed. This is a safety precaution to prevent spills, debris, and potential hazards.

 

4. Facility & Community Respect

​

  • Treat venues and shared spaces with care—clean up after yourself.

​

  • Follow all venue policies and staff instructions.

​

  • Respect other facility users, including those not participating in our events.

​

5. Consequences for Violations

​

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:

​

  • Verbal warning (for minor infractions).

​

  • Immediate removal from an event without refund (for serious or repeated violations).

​

  • Temporary or permanent bans for ongoing misconduct or severe violations (e.g., violence, discrimination, harassment).

​

6. Reporting Issues

​

If you experience or witness misconduct, report it to event staff immediately or email us at contact@forestcityathletics.ca.

By participating in Forest City Athletics events, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and help create a positive sports experience for all.
